Month 5: SBA Loan Approved — We’ve Moved into Boynton Beach
The SBA loan approval letter arrived — a major milestone after weeks of back-and-forth with lenders. We finally found a trusted partner who truly listened to our goals and helped structure a fair, manageable deal.
With approval in hand, the pace has accelerated. We’ve officially moved into our new townhome in Boynton Beach. The transition has been smoother than expected thanks to our friend and realtor, Kevin Kleinman of Advance Realty Miami, who helped us secure a beautiful, fully furnished place.
Throughout this process, my husband M has been a steadfast partner, and we have grown even closer while navigating these important decisions. I am also deeply grateful for the continued support of close friends — Peggy’s regular encouragement, Cindy & Jeff’s valuable insights from their own entrepreneurial journey, Rob and Kristen’s consistent friendship and positivity, and Patrick’s ongoing support and encouragement.
Key Lessons from Month 5
- The SBA process is rigorous but worthwhile. Expect detailed paperwork, business plans, financial projections, and personal resumes.
- Surround yourself with supportive people. Their encouragement makes the challenging days more manageable.
- Trust the timing. What feels slow is often necessary preparation for what’s ahead.
- Stay organized and patient during transitions. Moving while preparing for a business closing requires careful coordination.
You’re not alone. Whether you’re deep in the loan process, preparing for a big move, or simply hoping for the next chapter — I see you.
