Waiting with Purpose: Remembering Who I Am

Boynton Beach Sunrise - New Beginnings

As we wait for the final steps of the SBA loan closing, I’ve been reflecting deeply on where I come from and why this path feels so right.

I am happily married and the proud mother of two wonderful boys. Born in Thailand, I am half Chinese, a quarter French, and a quarter Thai. My family immigrated to the United States when I was four years old — I’m the youngest of seven children.

I had a great childhood filled with love, playing soccer (which earned me a college scholarship), and working three jobs while helping at my mom’s Thai-Chinese restaurants. Life has always been tough, but I’ve never been afraid of hard work. That foundation keeps me grounded as we prepare to take over the restaurant.

My mother’s legacy continues to inspire me every day. She raised seven children on her own after losing my father when I was three. Her courage and strength are the roots of everything I’m building now.

Key Lessons from This Season of Waiting

  • Waiting can be purposeful — it gives time to remember who we are.
  • Family legacy is the strongest motivation.
  • Hope and patience can coexist.
  • Hard work and resilience are in my DNA.

You’re not alone. Whether you’re in a season of waiting or stepping into something new — I see you.
